Introducing Opsit
As the strapline indicates "This site looks at the features of operations and implants enabling forensic anthropologists, medical professionals and students to use these to aid human identification and address the implications for healthcare." We are looking very broadly at the types of implants not just from a contemporary but from an historical perspective, after all an implant put in the early 1960's or a classic operation that changes the body developed in 1910 and still being used with variations in the 60's and 70's might be seen in a forensic or medical context.

Blogs

The aim of the blogs is to able to put online more thoughts and ideas about the role of implants in supporting human identification whether they come from our own work, news items, other blogs allowing a more relaxed approach before more formal pages are put together on the topic(s).
Lauren's blog, http://www.opsit.org.uk/blog/lauren/, is very much forensic identification based whereas David's, http://www.cladonia.co.uk/weblog, looks at more photographic aspects and ties in with his personal website.
