Introducing Lauren Miller at Opsit

Lauren is currently the consultant forensic anthropologist for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire Police.  She also lectures in Forensic Human Identification and autopsy practice at the University of Derby, as well being an enthusiastic ambassador for Innovation for learning, she also has experience of working as a mortuary technician.  Obtaining a BSc (Hons) at the University of Derby, winning numerous awards for her research she went on to get her MSc at the university of Bradford, this is where the research into the use of implants as an aid to identification began.  Lauren is a registered expert on the NPIA database, as well as with the International Association for Identification (IAI), and INFORCE.  She is also an active member of the Forensic Science Society (FSS), British Association for Human Identification (BAHID), the British Association for Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology (BABAO), and the American Association for Physical Anthropology (AAPA).
